Matti Alahuhta: Personnel and students key in building Aalto University

The Board of the Aalto University Foundation has started its work. The creation of the new university will involve a considerable effort during the coming autumn and winter.

What are the central issues for the autumn Matti Alahuhta, Chair of the Board, Aalto University Foundation?
“The upcoming autumn’s central issues are the initiation of the development work with the help of working groups and choosing a president. The working groups are central to our development work because they offer everyone the opportunity to participate in the building and development of the university. Feedback from the working groups is very important for the Board’s work and decision-making.

“It is important to understand the old, existing culture when implementing change. That is why it is so vital to listen to our personnel and students. The working groups will be trained to listen to the members of the University community.”
