Significant research funding to HSE’s Marko Terviö
Researcher Marko Terviö has been granted research funding from the European Research Council for the project “Talent and Learning in Imperfect Markets”. The funding totals just over one million euros for a five-year period. Terviö will begin his job as Professor at the Department of Economics in HSE on July 1, 2009. He is currently Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley.Universities Act provides good basis for developing Aalto University
On June 16th 2009 the Parliament approved the new Universities Act, which significantly enhances the development opportunities of research, teaching and artistic endeavors. The Board of the Finnish Foundation for Advancement of Securities Markets has granted the Graduate School of Finance (GSF) continued funding for the five-year period 2010–2014. The funding amounts to just under one million euros. Helsinki School of Economics is the host of GSF as well as the corresponding Nordic organization operating under GSF, the Nordic Finance Network (NFN).
